Picnic with Patchouli

Come and enjoy a performance by Bruce & Julie of Patchouli performing in our Gazebo on our North lawn.  Bring the family, enjoy a Saturday afternoon small town picnic.  Patchouli and Terra Guitarra is master guitarist Bruce Hecksel and singer-songwriter, guitarist Julie Patchouli.

This performance is brought to you by the Board of the Amherst WI Opera House to celebrate great music, excellent food & drink, all wrapped up in a small town family picnic gathering setting.  Free will donation to defray the cost is always appreciated.

Patchouli & Terra Guitarra have performed over 4,000 shows, toured a million miles on the road supporting 20 CD releases, won songwriting awards, industry awards, performed on TV, film and are played on Radio programs around the world.

Bruce & Julie were the first artists to perform at the Amherst WI Opera House when it was re-awakened after a 48 year slumber in 2018.  Patchouli is a popular act in the Central Wisconsin area generally performing 2 to 3 times per year in various venues.  This will be their first area performance and based on their current schedule may not be in the area again for some time.  Come and enjoy the music on the lawn next to our 123 year old historic Opera House.  Bring lawn chairs and a picnic lunch or enjoy  food from the Bayanihan Food Truck.  Beer, Wine, Soda, & Water will be available to purchase.

The food truck and beverages start at 12 o’clock noon.  The performance starts at 1:00 PM.  In case of inclement weather we will move inside our Opera House.

Bayanihan is a Filipino word that refers to a spirit of communal unity and cooperation. It is derived from the word “bayan,” meaning town, nation, or community. The term represents a traditional system of mutual assistance where members of a community work together to accomplish a difficult task. It symbolizes cooperative group work and civic unity among Filipinos.
