The Amherst Opera House Co. Guild is a 501(c)3 non-profit that was formed to return the Amherst Opera House to community use. We envision the historic Amherst Opera House as a venue for local theatre, visual arts, community gatherings, and music. We seek to collaborate with many different existing programs including art galleries, seasonal concerts, and educational lectures.
The Vision of the Amherst Opera House Co. Guild is to preserve a building that is treasured in the community as a space for area residents to gather to enjoy a variety of entertainment, education, and historical activities. The space will be used as a venue for community events and activities such as art and photography exhibits, poetry recitals, music performances, storytelling, creative workshops and other public gatherings.
