DESCRIPTION:The Angel Fund is a fund to help local elderly people with medical expenses\, utility bills\, rent\, medications and other basic needs.  Admission: Free Will donation to the Angel Fund. \nHere is more information on what the Angel Fund is: \nHello 🙂 my name is Danielle and I am a Home Healthcare Specialist\, I take care of elderly people in their homes….my goal is to keep folks functioning safely in their own homes\, for as long as possible 🙂 I’ve been with the same company for 8 years now and the first year working in the field I encountered a man who had no family\, no tree\, no church….nothing for the holidays….so naturally I brought Christmas to him 😉 but as a single mother to 3 daughters\, Christmas was hard for me financially!! I had lost my husband just the years prior to a fatal car accident on mother’s day and at the time I made $8.75 an hour!! I started brainstorming for the next year and came up with a program called Adopt a Grandma/Grandpa for Christmas  🎄 \nThe next year I was able to attain lists from all of my patients in need (17 the first year) and I made an event\, made a master list (due to HIPAA their names can’t be used) and then I posted all of Grandma A\, B\, C and so forths lists….within 7 mins everyone was adopted 🙂 so the next year I knew I could grow and help more and more elderly in our community have a beautiful holiday!! We are now on year 8\, and I am hoping to continue this 🙂 2 years ago I also started the angel fund….this is a fund of 100% donations and it helped people pay (again elderly) things like rent\, electric bill\, medications…this is what Lori has graciously helped to grow!! Sometimes folks need that even more than a robe or a pair of pajamas….by paying a bill for them\, it freed up one gramma so she could “then give each of her grandsons $10 in their cards” that year 🙂 one Grandma who recieved money from the angel fund said “I know someone hears my prayers” \nThis money is given to those who need it most\, but don’t ask….they also don’t know who gives it 😉 it is given with a letter that it is an angel donation!! The adopted grandma and grandpa gifts are given similarly….they come with a letter from Santa and we are mearly the elves 😉 \nAny donations will be immensely appreciated and I will be more than happy to share this year’s Adopt a Grandma/Grandpa event to Lori when it is posted!!
