A race against the fastest known time\, an extreme environment of record breaking heat\, an onslaught of wildfires\, trail closures and an impending due date.\nCome join Timothy (in person) as we watch the journey that took more than 50 days and averaged 50-miles/day. DESCRIPTION:Come and check out all the activities going on at the Amherst Opera House on Saturday\, Sep. 7th during Celebrate Amherst. \nInside will be a Photography Show & Sale by area photographers.  Outside you will be able to take a ride with your kids or grandkids in a Ford Model A put on by the Central Wisconsin Ford Model A Club.  Eric Nelson\, Historic Process Photographer will be set up creating real steel tintypes (wear your vintage\, fun outfit and have your image struck) .  On the lawn there will be Face Painting\, 4H Petting Zoo including bunnies\, goats\, and miniature cattle\, nearby the Amherst Fire District will have equipment on display. \nLooking forward to a great day as we celebrate all that makes Amherst a great place to be. \nModel A Fords waiting to give you a ride\, $5 donation suggested.

DESCRIPTION:Please plan to join us as we celebrate the birth of The Amherst Opera House Company.  Formed on 6/10/1902 the Amherst Opera House Company is 122 years old this year.  We will celebrate with a pot luck picnic and a performance by First Avenue Acoustic.  Picnic/Pot Luck starts at 1:00PM.  First Avenue Acoustic performs at 2:00PM.  Bring your own chairs and picnic lunch or Combo hot dog\, chips\, & soda available to purchase for $5\, Beer\, Wine\, Water\, & Soda available to purchase.  Bring a dish/dessert to share if you are able.  Looking forward to having an old fashioned picnic gathering.  We will move inside if the weather is bad.
